What we collect when you buy and use EBIS-Pro, and why.

This policy explains how Endorse On Inc. ("we", "us") handles personal information in connection with EBIS-Pro, this website, and our licensing, payment and email services. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The short version
- Your business data (your contacts, pipeline, notes and documents) is stored in EBIS-Pro on your own computer. We don't receive it.
- We keep what we need to sell you a license and keep it working: your name, email, license and payment records, and basic information about the computer it's activated on.
- We don't sell personal information.
Information we collect
When you buy
- Your name, email address, and the province or country used to calculate tax.
- Order details: edition, currency, amount, tax, any coupon used, and the payment reference from Stripe or PayPal.
- Card and PayPal account details are handled by Stripe or PayPal on their own pages. We never see or store your full card number.
When EBIS-Pro checks your license
- Your license key, a machine identifier generated by the app, and your computer's name.
- The time of each activation or check, the IP address it came from, and an approximate location (city and country) derived from that IP address.
- We use this to keep the license working on the right computer, to handle moves to a new computer, and to detect misuse.
When you send email campaigns
- Campaigns are sent from your own email account, directly from your computer.
- To report opens, each campaign email includes a small tracking image served by our tracking service. When a recipient's email program loads it, our service records the campaign, the time, and the IP address and browser information of the request, and your copy of EBIS-Pro retrieves those open events.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis to email your recipients, including consent where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or other laws require it, and for honouring unsubscribe requests. EBIS-Pro's suppression list helps with this.
When you visit this website
This website doesn't use advertising cookies. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and troubleshooting.
We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how people find us. It only runs if you click Allow on the cookie notice. When it does, Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and your approximate location; Google doesn't store your full IP address. Google processes this data on our behalf, and it may be processed outside Canada. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
How we use it
- To process your purchase, issue and deliver your license key, and send your invoice and receipt.
- To activate and validate licenses and to let you move a license to a new computer.
- To provide support, handle refunds, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- To send service emails about your license. We'll only send marketing email if you've agreed to it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Service providers
We share information only with providers who help us run the service, and only as needed:
- Stripe and PayPal, to process payments.
- Postmark, to deliver license, receipt and security emails.
- DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and license records for as long as your license is in use and afterwards for as long as tax law requires (generally six years in Canada). License check and email-open logs are kept only as long as they're useful for the purposes above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Email support@endorseon.com. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
Our servers use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to customer records is limited to authorized staff with two-factor sign-in. On your computer, EBIS-Pro stores your email password encrypted with Windows' own protection.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced by email to customers.
